The horseracing amendment to the Georgia Costitution has been introduced in the Georgia General Assembly today. Led by Rep Harry Geisinger, some 50 house members joined in signing the resolution, now known as HR 1177. There was a balance of Republicans and Demorcrats, reflecting a non-partisan recognition that these House members hear your call for the creation of this new, clean industry. And this industry brings with it some 20,000 or more jobs, and badly needed income for individuals and the State.

HR 1177 (NOT HB MINDYOU) wiil not be on line until tomorrow. You can go to the General Assembly site and read it then.

For, now, please go the site below and find your STATE Representative and write, call and e mail your request that he or she not only support HR 1177, but ask the Speaker of the House, Rep. David Ralston to do the same. YOUR INDIVIDUAL EFFORT IS WHAT WILL CARRY US THROUGH; SO ACT NOW.

When your information comes up, your State Representative and State Senator wiil appear on the right side of the information under Gov. Perdue's name. Click on the name of your State Representative and that person's information will come-up including how to write, call and e mail. It's easy and sooooooooooooooo important.
