Back Country Horsemen of North Georgia

Back country horsemen are concerned men and women dedicated to conserving public lands and protecting equestrians' historic right to use back country trails. You don't have to ride or even own a horse to be a member, just recognize the need to preserve our heritage and right to ride public lands and be willing to voice your support and work toward preserving this right. We need help to assure that our "right to ride" is recognized and continues for future generations.

Chattahoochee Trail Horse Association

The Chattahoochee Trail Horse Association, Inc. (CTHA) was formed in 1991 by several dedicated and enthusiastic horseback trail riders who shared a dream. The dream was to create a network of interconnecting horse trails across the Chattahoochee National Forest - sort of an equine Appalachian Trail.

Equestrian Trails and Conservation Awareness

Addressing natural resource conservation issues for recreational horse trail riders. The website presents papers which will follow the outline of a senior-graduate level course taught by Dr. Gene Wood, Professor Emeritus, Department of Forestry and Natural Resources, Clemson University, on conservation policy. The papers will be co-autored by Dr. Mae Lee Hafer, USDA-Forest Service and ETACA website Advisory Board member.

Georgia Equine Rescue League

Organized in 1993, the Georgia Equine Rescue League came into existence for the purpose of helping to end neglect and abuse of equines, and to assist with their recuperation from neglect and abuse.

Midway Saddle Club

Midway Saddle Club was established in 1965 as a not for profit organization. It was created and continues today for the enjoyment of club members and our community. Our club facilities are located on Seabolt Road in Cumming, Georgia and include a clubhouse and outdoor riding ring.

Mustang and Wild Horse Rescue of Georgia

We are a non-profit organization, run by a staff of volunteers. We promote the adoption of mustangs by counseling and training those considering adopting or caring for a mustang. We are dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of BLM Mustangs and wild horses. We educate the general public on wild horse issues in order to ensure the protection and preservation of America’s Living Legends. We offer training workshops to those interested in learning the gentling process. Our program includes using gentled mustangs with children at risk through our "Write and Ride" program as well as mainstreaming our mustangs into the equine community to be used in all equine disciplines.

SaddleUp Cobb

Saddle Up Cobb is a membership of equine enthusiasts interested in the enrichment and promotion of horses and their people. Our mission is to promote an equestrian friendly environment in Cobb County and to support equestrian activities and interests in Cobb and the surrounding areas of Georgia.

Stable Mates Magazine is close to its second decade of publishing the largest equine and equine related products marketplace in the Southeast USA. Our bi-monthly publication is distributed free to over 1000 tack stores, feed dealers, boarding and training stables and large equestrian facilities.
